How does art come back into fashion. Can fashion also convey a critical message to an audience? Word artist Hind Eljadid and illustrator Zahra Eljadid make the intangible tangible with Into the fabrics. The sisters reprise their unique artistic collaboration following the success of the bestseller Kruimeldief, an autobiographical book about growing up in poverty and the loss of their mother. Into the fabrics promises to become a critical fashion performance in which painful - and often invisible - experiences such as racism and discrimination become visible. The garments are created by fashion maker Ornella Somanza. The word art and the soundscapes in this performance underline the message of femininity and inner strength.
