Josse De Pauw
After completing his studies at the Royal Academy of Music in Brussels he founded the legendary theatre company 'Radeis'. Later, and in collaboration with Hugo De Greef, he laid the foundations for the 'Schaamte' organisation, from which the Kaaitheater later developed. His plays Weg and Larf became internationally renowned and were awarded the Océ Prize for the Performing Arts in 2000. As a writer he worked together with the film director Dominique Deruddere on 'Wait until spring, Bandini' (1989), 'Hombres Complicados' (1997) and 'Iedereen beroemd'(2000). The last film received an Oscar nomination for best foreign film. Together with Jaco van Dormael he worked on the film 'Le Huitième Jour' (1996). In 2001 he published his autobiography, 'Werk', which is a collection of stories, anecdotes and plays.
